OSCAR - The next step to carefree sailing

OSCAR combines groundbreaking technologies, the passion for engineering and the navigation experience of the best professional skippers. The system significantly improves your safety and that of your crew. OSCAR constantly scans the environment in front of the boat and enables real-time analysis of floating objects based on thermal video flow.

Using FLIR's high performance thermal imaging cameras, OSCAR detects and identifies floating objects on your route to the horizon and assesses the risk of collision in real time, even and especially at night and in poor visibility. OSCAR shows you what object has been detected, the distance and bearing to the object and its speed. If the option is activated, OSCAR will soon calculate the best evasive path and initiate it manually or automatically. OSCAR calculates the further path of the detected object and thus keeps an eye on it, even if the direct visual contact is interrupted, e.g. by waves. 

OSCAR can easily be output to your Multifunctional Display (MFD) without losing sight of your boat's data. Your MFD warns you acoustically and you have the same functionality as on the OSCAR APP. OSCAR can be integrated directly into the systems Charts, AIS and Radar.

Alternatively or simultaneously, the OSCAR APP can easily be installed on tablets or other devices on board. The OSCAR APP shows floating objects along the route according to the selected navigation modes and also gives an alarm.

OSCAR ONE SERIES

OSCAR ONE SERIES is the first all in one collision avoidance product on the market. For the first time, OSCAR's eyes and brain have been combined in a single unit. OSCAR ONE SERIES combines camera unit and data processing in one. Directly connected to the bus system of your boat, you can enjoy all the functionalities in a revolutionary design.

The combination of vision unit and processing unit makes the installation of OSCAR very easy. With the new design we have been able to reduce the total weight and energy consumption of the OSCAR ONE SERIES even further.

OSCAR ADVANCED SERIES

OSCAR ADVANCED SERIES consists of the mobile vision unit and the processing unit, thus allowing for individualized installation.

The eyes of the OSCAR ADVANCED SERIES are attached to the top of the mast or to a signal mast and constantly scan the surroundings in front of the boat with two thermal imaging cameras and a day camera. The mobility of the vision unit allows OSCAR ADVANCED SERIES to be used on rotating masts.

The brain of OSCAR ADVANCED SERIES is a high-performance computer that provides real-time analysis of the video material through algorithms designed for artificial vision and collision risk warnings. OSCAR ADVANCED SERIES can also be used on rotating masts.

All OSCAR models also always offer the full functionality of FLIR thermal imaging cameras. OSCAR is compatible with the current models from Raymarine, B&G and Garmin.
