Raymarine Engine Control

January 24, 2014 at 12:45 PM in Technik

With the new ECI-100 interface Raymarine now allows you to directly monitor all your engine data on your plotter. With that you can now monitor almost all of your boat’s functions on the plotter.

The new Raymarine ECI-100 Interface is an attachment box to feed engine data provided by e.g. the Volvo Penta Can Bus into the Seatalk NG network. Monitoring data provided by the engine can be directly controlled on the plotter or multifunctional display. For now, this only works with Volvo Penta engines providing data in EVC-C, EVC-D and EVC-E format. If all sensors are functioning, the following data is displayed:

  • Engine speed
  • Total engine hours
  • Engine oil temperature
  • Engine temperature
  • Engine coolant pressure
  • Engine oil pressure
  • Engine fuel rate
  • Boost pressure
  • Battery potential
  • Transmission oil pressure
  • Transmission oil temperature
  • Fuel tank level
  • Trip fuel used (calculated by ECI-100)
  • Alternator potential
  • Engine percentage load
  • Transmission gear

Engine warnings:

  • High temperature
  • Low oil pressure
  • Low oil level
  • Low voltage
  • Low coolant
  • Water in the oil

With this extension Raymarine enables to you to keep check of your navigational and engine data from your multifunctional display, making steering your yacht easier.
