Berlin, 17 October 2011: The Austrian shipyard Frauscher has been nominated for the fifth consecutive year for "European Powerboat of the Year 2012" this time with their new flagship FRAUSCHER 1017 GT.
As in the years 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011, the Frauscher shipyard has received yet another nomination for its new FRAUSCHER 1017 GT for "European Powerboat of the Year 2012." This is Frauscher's fifth nomination in a row. The "European Powerboat Award" is an initiative of the European motor boat magazine, Boote (Germany). The jury consists of journalists who right for leading motorboat magazines in Europe. The board selects the 25 most interesting models from all the new motor boats / yachts on the market in five different categories. They are rated for safety standards, processing quality, driveability, space allocation and price-performance ratio. The winner will then be announced at the boats and water sports fair in Dusseldorf in January.
The 1017 GT heralds a new era in Frauscher's history - The Rise of a Legend. The aim was to create a high class gentlemen's racer class with the potential to become a modern legend.
