Thanks to Computer Aided Design and Manufacture (CAD/CAM), Sunseeker lines that are produced on paper and on the computer screen are transformed into reality using the latest technology and creative input. Sunseeker combines traditional yacht building with modern design techniques
Numerical Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) allows Sunseeker designers to try out various hull shapes, lengths and widths before the unique mould is manufactured or the five-axis milling machine has to be programmed. Using this method, the seakeeping, fuel economy and handling performance can be evaluated and various drive systems can be tested out many months before the start of the actual Sunseeker yacht building process. The Sunseeker planning phase is critical, nothing is left to chance.

From a family business to a global corporation: Originally "Poole Power Boats", the former name of Sunseeker, was involved in the import and sale of boats from Scandinavia and the USA. In the early 70s, the Sunseeker company began to build and furnish its own boats. One day, when the Sunseeker company exhibited its first 17 and 23 foot boats at a boat show, a boat dealer from southern France said: "If you build the boats in white and fit the full width of the stern with a sundeck, then I will buy them". Thus "Poole Power Boats" reached new harbours and laid the foundations for the construction of its own boats. In the last forty years, the Sunseeker company has achieved many notable breakthroughs and ground-breaking milestones, which have had a major impact on others in the yacht industry.
Over the years, Sunseeker has consistently expanded its product range and ground-breaking developments have often been followed and imitated by other manufacturers.
Since the introduction of its 105 foot yacht, Sunseeker has become a leading manufacturer of luxury yachts on an international level.
