Bavaria combines over three decades of experience with innovative production methods. The shipyard has one of the most modern series production facilities for sailing yachts worldwide.CAD / CAM programs and high-precision robots operate in conjunction with Bavaria's highly qualified and skilled craftsmen, who have had long years of experience, which provides for excellent teamwork. Many of Bavaria's processes are also automated to ensure high quality across the board and to eliminate the potential for errors.

Bavaria applies standards considerably higher than those required by law. One example is the GLYacht Plus certificate. The rigorous voluntary certification process goes far beyond EU requirements, offering an even higher level of security. No boat leaves the yard without an additional, detailed safety check.

The boat yard in Giebelstadt employs approximately 550 people and manufactures boats from 28 to 55 feet long. To date, Bavaria has built more than 30,000 yachts and exported over 85 percent of its production. Currently, Bavaria's production is 60 percent sailing yachts to 40 percent motor boats.
Since 2008 Bavaria has been working closely with two top-class design offices. Farr Yacht Design - the most renowned racing yacht and cruiser design team, founded by Bruce Farr - is responsible for the marine architecture and the functionality of the new Bavaria sailing yachts. BMW Group Designworks USA - a subsidiary of the BMW Group - designs the exterior of the new fleet for both Bavaria's sailing yachts and motor boats.
